JK Radon, LLC provides free consulting on any radon test or reduction system. However, to avoid a potential conflict of interest, JK Radon, LLC will not perform both testing and mitigation in the same real estate transaction.

For testing, JK Radon, LLC uses a continuous radon monitor (CRM). This is the only electronic testing device that provides a printed transcript (up to 90 hours) of the results. At the completion of a test, the results will be displayed for us to view together. The transcript; in my opinion, helps the client understand if there is a significant radon problem. A CRM is equipped with a tampering device to assist in an accurate tamper free test.

For a private concern, “Yes” you can test yourself. Some of my clients have done just that. If you are not comfortable with the testing process, call JK Radon, LLC. I will be glad to help you. My reputation for honesty is most important to me. Referrals are the main source of my business.

All installations of a radon reduction system performed by JK Radon, LLC are guaranteed to under 4pCi/L.. Once you are a client of JK Radon, LLC, I want to keep you as a client for a lifetime. If there is a problem at any time, I want to know about it. If you need to break the seal of the sump pump lid, I want to know about it. In most cases, JK Radon, LLC may re-seal it, free of charge to maintain the warranty. Also this is my way of keeping in touch with the clients I serve.

JK Radon, LLC installs both interior and exterior reduction systems. Together we survey the home looking for as many options as possible in installing a system, pointing out the pros and cons of each option. In most cases, the location of the system is installed after giving me your approval. In my opinion interior systems are preferred over exterior systems for many reasons. An interior system, by code, must have fire stopping at every level of the home going into the next level, including attics. Exterior systems are more affordable but they should have a condensation by-pass system installed to maximize the Life of the fan. These features are standard with JK Radon, LLC. All of our installations use schedule 40 PVC pipe. On exterior systems, after the fan (located outside) we route the emissions through a down spout. I feel this attracts less attention to your home and offers a more acceptable appearance. JK Radon, LLC is certified and insured. Our contract has been reviewed by the insurance industry and all “terms of service and sales” are stated.
